The BirthPlace

Welcome to the BirthPlace at Jordan Hospital, expert care for mothers and babies.

Our mission is to provide you with exceptional clinical care in a setting that assures the safety and comfort for mom, baby and the entire family.

We offer tours of The Birthplace on the third Saturday of every month, between 10 am – 12pm or you welcome to schedule a visit by calling 508-830-2230

At The BirthPlace, you can expect:

• A team of board certified Obstetricians who team with our certified nurse midwives and registered nurses to provide clinically expert care for women with normal and high risk pregnancies
• Birthing options, including TOLAC for women who have has previous c-sections, and Water-birth, and option for low-risk mothers seeking an alternative delivery option
• Personal choice in pain management for labor and delivery;
• 12 private labor, delivery, recovery and post-partum (LDRP) suites, offering warm, safe, supportive environment for you, your baby and your family.
• 24/7 in-house anesthesia coverage for laboring and delivering moms
• State-of-the art operating room within the BirthPlace
• Couplet care, where mom and baby are cared for by the same nurse to assure continuity of care, education and support
• 24/7 Neonatology coverage for newborns requiring neonatology and/or pediatric care at birth
• Well Newborn Nursery – while we encourage rooming in, this nursery is available from 11:30 pm until 6 am for moms who request their babies have care and supervision of qualified nursing staff if they require extra rest

Celebrating your new arrival

The BirthPlace is proud to offer new parents two unique ways a commemorate a momentous event:

Dinner for Two – a special dinner for parents to celebrate the birth of their child, offered the evening before discharge and featuring a selection of special entrees and desserts from a special Birthplace Menu

BirthPlace “Beads”  - The BirthPlace offers a special ‘pandora like’ glass beads and bracelet to commemorate this special event in your life.  Our beautiful green, pink and blue glass bead represents the BirthPlace  and stunning dark blue and green glass bead represents Jordan Hospital.  The beads cost $20.00 dollars and the bracelets cost $50.00 dollars with half the proceeds going to the BirthPlace.  If you are interested in purchasing this memento, please contact your nurse and she will be glad to help with your purchase.
